About this site
Smarthome Fixes (a working name) is an independent collection of troubleshooting guides for smart home devices, in German and English, written for Switzerland, Germany and Austria. It starts with Shelly devices. Browse by manufacturer or by problem.
Independent, not affiliated with Shelly Group
This site is not affiliated with Shelly Group (maker of Shelly devices), Anker, Marstek, AVM or any other manufacturer or retailer, and is not endorsed, commissioned or sponsored by any of them. Brand and product names are used only to identify the devices discussed. For warranty claims and faulty devices, always use the manufacturer's official support.
How guides are written
- Simplest fix first. Free checks in the app and web interface first, then router settings, only then support.
- Sourced. Each page lists its sources: the manufacturer's official help pages and documentation where they exist, plus clearly labelled owner reports from public forums. Owner reports are reports, not guarantees.
- Firmware line on every page. Firmware changes a lot. Every page states the firmware it refers to.
- No 230 V instructions. Wiring work in the distribution board belongs to a qualified electrician. Guides only cover what you can check without touching the electrical installation.
- No cookies, no ads. Details in the privacy notice.
Corrections
Device variants and firmware updates change things. If a step is wrong or out of date, the manufacturer's official documentation takes precedence.
